ABOUT RUDI
Money should support the life around it.
I’m Rudi Nesta. I write about money and work because the choices they give us reach far beyond a bank balance.
Why this matters to me
I grew up with financial instability: electricity being cut off, debt collectors at the door and the worry that came with not having enough. As a teenager I had four paper rounds. I also worked in the produce section at Sainsbury’s and washed dishes in a café.
Those experiences shape the questions I bring to this site. How can money provide more security? What helps someone move forward when they do not have much room for error?
A wider view of progress
Becoming a parent changed how I think about work and time. Family and health are part of the purpose of earning, saving and investing. They are not something to fit in after every financial target has been reached.
My background includes career development, teaching and mentoring, and I completed an Executive MBA at Henley Business School. I started the blog after sharing ideas with friends and family. Here, I bring that interest in learning to the everyday decisions we make about money.

Experience is context, not a guarantee
I share what I am learning and applying. My experience does not predict your results, and these articles are general education rather than personalised financial advice. For recommendations about your circumstances, seek appropriately regulated advice.
Facts about tax, pensions and financial products can change. Use the sources and review dates in the guides, and check current rules before acting. If you spot something that needs correcting, tell me where you found it.
